PPHP / Flowrate Calculator
Convert between line mass flowrates (kg/min, kg/hr, lb/min, lb/hr) and PPHP recipe form for any polyurethane foam production line. Polyol is always the 100 PPHP reference; all other additives are calculated relative to it.
PPHP — parts per hundred parts of polyol — is the standard format for PU foam formulations. Production lines, however, run on mass flowrates set per metering pump. Translating between the two is needed every time you start a new recipe, change a setpoint, or troubleshoot why a batch came out off-spec.
This calculator runs in two directions. Flow → PPHP: enter the polyol flow plus measured additive flows from your line, get back the recipe in PPHP form. PPHP → Flow: enter the recipe and the polyol setpoint, get back the exact flow each metering pump should be running.
Multi-additive mode handles the entire line at once — polyol, isocyanate, water, amine catalyst, tin catalyst, surfactant, flame retardant, colourant — so you can audit a complete line setup against a target recipe in one screen.
